PRESS RELEASE Tasters Guild's 21st International Wine Judging
"Over 2,000 wines from 15 countries and 35 states/provinces were evaluated by 36 judges from around the country on April 30 - May 3, 2008. The judging panels were comprised of a mix of retailers, winemakers, wine writers, restaurateurs and experienced consumers. Of special interest
this year was the assortment of "out of the ordinary" grape and fruit varieties used by wineries to produce quality wines, which led Tasters Guild President and Judging Coordinator, Joe Borrello, to comment, "It is encourging to see wineries developing grape varieties that excel in their particular growing regions. It's fun to taste some exceptionally well-made wines from British Columbia,..."
